{"id":15111,"date":"2021-12-09T09:46:09","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T08:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/?post_type=event&#038;p=15111"},"modified":"2022-11-25T15:39:57","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T14:39:57","slug":"meducational_media_tips_tools_and_apps","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/event\/meducational_media_tips_tools_and_apps\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Media Tips, Tools and  Apps"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This interactive online Media &amp; Learning gathering features some of the latest and greatest in easy to use tools and resources that can be used by academics to enhance their teaching with media based resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session will feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>A H5P taster<\/em> &#8211; the free and open-source content collaboration framework based on JavaScript which aims to make it easy for everyone to create, share and reuse interactive HTML5 content introduction by <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/content.media-and-learning.eu\/node\/30\/lightbox2\" target=\"_blank\">Andr\u00e9 Rosendaal<\/a><\/strong>, University of Groningen, the Netherlands.<\/li><li><em>Interactive Virtual Environments for Teaching &amp; Assessment<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/learningonscreen.ac.uk\/inventa\/\">InVEnTA<\/a>  presented by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/content.media-and-learning.eu\/node\/4053\/lightbox2\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Damien Mansell<\/strong><\/a>, University of Exeter, UK. InVEnTA uses geospatial and visualisation technology, allowing educators to easily create and explore immersive free-roaming interactive virtual environments. Think of it as virtual field trips, where students can visit the Arctic circle, an archaeology site, or the surface of another planet, without leaving the classroom.
