Centres for Teaching and Learning find themselves at very different stages of maturity, and the challenges facing them shift accordingly, from getting one off the ground, to running it well once established, to keeping it relevant as new tools and demands emerge. This session brings together MLA’s community of CTL professionals to address these different stages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The session follows that same arc. It opens with the question of formation, how to build a CTL from scratch, or bring one together by merging departments that already do similar work under one roof. It moves to the realities of early stewardship, what it takes to manage a newly built centre as it assembles a team, shapes its services, and earns its place on campus. And it closes on a question every centre eventually meets, regardless of age: how to bring new tools and technologies, AI foremost among them, into everyday practice through a considered, repeatable process rather than reactive, one-off adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
