Maarit did this based on work carried out for the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cejc.ptks.pl\/Browse-Journal\" target=\"_blank\">Central European Journal of Communication<\/a>;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Media Literacy practices and experiences in the Baltic states<\/strong>:<ul><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/content.media-and-learning.eu\/node\/3941\/lightbox2\" target=\"_blank\">Kaspars Ruklis<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IREXintheBaltics\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">IREX Baltic Media Literacy Programme<\/a>,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/files\/2020\/12\/Baltic-Media-Literacy-Program.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">(presentation)<\/a>;<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/content.media-and-learning.eu\/node\/3942\/lightbox2\" target=\"_blank\">Dovile Alebaite<\/a>, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britishcouncil.lt\/programmes\/education-society\/big-small-screens-understanding-screen-culture-development-media\" target=\"_blank\">Big Small Screens<\/a> Project, Lithuania <a href=\"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/files\/2020\/12\/12.09-Meno-avilys.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(presentation)<\/a>;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Alexandra Milyakina, University of Tartu, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ajalugu.haridusekraanil.ee\/en\/info\" target=\"_blank\">History on Screen<\/a> Project <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/files\/2020\/12\/Education-on-Screen-webinar.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">(presentation)<\/a>, Estonia.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>News and updates on media literacy across Europe.<\/strong>  During this section, we gave a short round-up of news and information about media literacy activities in different countries including new developments, initiatives and research findings.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderators and hosts: &nbsp;<strong>Maarit Jaakkola<\/strong>, Nordicom and <strong>Sally Reynolds<\/strong>, Media &amp; learning Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotlight on projects and media literacy initiatives in the Baltic States<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/participationpool.eu\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">Participation Resource Pool<\/a> &#8211; online tools that help foster young people\u2019s critical thinking and media literacy to increase the quality of youth participation. <\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1325074681160372\/?active_tab=discussion\" target=\"_blank\">The Baltic MIL Summit: The Dark Side of Media and Information Literacy<\/a> &#8211; a recent MIL event that took place on 26-27 November. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Links to news and updates on media literacy across Europe<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/edmo.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">European Digital Media Observatory<\/a> &#8211; a platform to support the work of a multidisciplinary community with expertise in the field of online disinformation. <\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/research-and-data\/media-literacy-research\" target=\"_blank\">Making Sense of Media<\/a> &#8211; is currently looking for volunteers to test the first version of the prototype website.
