{"id":17509,"date":"2022-04-04T10:36:39","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T08:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/?p=17509"},"modified":"2022-04-04T10:47:12","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T08:47:12","slug":"digital-competences-framework-digcomp-2-2-update-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/type\/news\/digital-competences-framework-digcomp-2-2-update-published\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Competences Framework (DigComp 2.2) update published"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Commission published the latest update of the Digital Competences Framework (DigComp 2.2<strong>)<\/strong> on 22 March. <a href=\"https:\/\/joint-research-centre.ec.europa.eu\/digcomp_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DigComp<\/a>&nbsp;and it\u2019s updated version&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/repository\/handle\/JRC128415\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DigComp 2.2.<\/a>&nbsp;can continue playing a central role in achieving our ambitious EU objectives with regard to the digital upskilling of the whole population \u2013 80% of the population to have basic digital skills by 2030, which&nbsp;is also taken up by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/economy-works-people\/jobs-growth-and-investment\/european-pillar-social-rights\/european-pillar-social-rights-action-plan_en\">European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan<\/a>.  The update takes account of emerging technologies such as&nbsp;<strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Internet of Things<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>datafication&nbsp;<\/strong>or new phenomena such as the new&nbsp;<strong>teleworking&nbsp;<\/strong>conditions that have led to new and increased digital competence requirements on the part of the citizen. It also takes account citizens&#8217; needs need to be able to fact-check online content and its sources (<strong>information literacy<\/strong>), and they need competences when interacting with AI systems, to enable them to avail of new opportunities offered by technologies, while dealing with the risks stemming from recent developments in social media and digital technologies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commission published the latest update of the Digital Competences Framework (DigComp 2.2) on 22 March.
