These institutions were involved in a total of 52 proposals covering 33 EU Member States and third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme. The objective set in the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/document\/commission-communication-on-a-european-strategy-for-universities\" target=\"_blank\">European strategy for universities<\/a>\u00a0is to reach 60 European Universities involving around 500 higher education institutions by mid-2024.
