{"id":22158,"date":"2022-12-16T18:36:10","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T17:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/?p=22158"},"modified":"2022-12-16T18:36:12","modified_gmt":"2022-12-16T17:36:12","slug":"ec-guidelines-for-teachers-on-tackling-disinformation-available-in-all-eu-languages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/type\/news\/ec-guidelines-for-teachers-on-tackling-disinformation-available-in-all-eu-languages\/","title":{"rendered":"EC Guidelines for teachers on tackling disinformation available in all EU languages"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<em> Guidelines for teachers and educators on tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy <\/em>are now available in all official EU languages through the EU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/a224c235-4843-11ed-92ed-01aa75ed71a1\/language-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Publications Office.<\/a> In addition to the Guidelines, a <a href=\"https:\/\/audiovisual.ec.europa.eu\/en\/video\/I-231292?lg=EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video with subtitles<\/a> in all EU languages is now online as well as a <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-10\/Disinformation%20factsheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">factsheet<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-10\/Disinformation%20infographic.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infographic<\/a>\u00a0 in EN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These guidelines provide practical support for teachers and educators and include definitions of technical concepts, class-exercises and how to encourage healthy online habits. The toolkit covers three main topics: building digital literacy, tackling disinformation, and assessing and evaluating digital literacy. The Guidelines were developed with the support of the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/news\/kick-off-meeting-of-the-expert-group-on-tackling-disinformation-and-promoting-digital-literacy-through-education-and-training\" target=\"_blank\">Commission expert group<\/a>&nbsp;on tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy through education and training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Commision counts on everyone&#8217;s support in disseminating and spreading the word widely through your organisations and networks, to ensure that as many teachers and educators can make use of these Guidelines in 2023!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Guidelines for teachers and educators on tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy are now available in all official EU languages through the EU\u2019s Publications Office.
