{"id":22360,"date":"2022-12-23T12:32:33","date_gmt":"2022-12-23T11:32:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/?p=22360"},"modified":"2022-12-23T12:32:35","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T11:32:35","slug":"literacy-media-and-citizenship-congress-21-22-april-lisbon-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/type\/general-events\/literacy-media-and-citizenship-congress-21-22-april-lisbon-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Literacy, Media and Citizenship Congress, 21-22 April, Lisbon, Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sixth edition of the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/congressolmc.gilm.pt\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Literacy, Media and Citizenship Congress<\/a><\/strong> returns on the <strong>21st and 22nd of April 2023<\/strong>, at the <strong>Escola Superior de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o Social<\/strong>, in <strong>Lisbon<\/strong>, <strong>Portugal<\/strong>. \u201c<strong>Digital Transition and Public Policies<\/strong>\u201d is the theme chosen by the GILM \u2013 Informal Group on Media Literacy (promoter of the initiative) at a time when, in the policies that have been adopted nationally and internationally and in the current scenario of the digital transition, Media and Information Literacy (LMI) seems to be taking its place as one of the key literacies to the empowerment of all citizens, without exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is, therefore, the right time to look at this moment as an opportunity to discuss public policies and reflect on the diversity of other media-related matters involved in the area of media literacy, in order to find solutions that offer citizens the full package of access skills, namely, autonomy, responsibility, critical thinking, creative and participatory spirit in their relationship with and through the media.
