MED is the Italian Association for Media Education. It was founded in 1996 by a group of academics, media professionals, teachers, and educators. Among other publications, since 2010, MED has published the journal Media Education. MED works in the field of training teachers, school leaders, educators, university students, social workers, and media professionals. It also carries out projects (both national and international) for the experimentation of media education activities in formal and non-formal educational settings. In addition to regional events and training courses, since 1996, it has organised a national Summer School in Media Education.
