{"id":48083,"date":"2026-07-24T12:12:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T10:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/?p=48083"},"modified":"2026-07-24T12:12:58","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T10:12:58","slug":"oecd-urges-systematic-policies-as-genai-use-in-universities-becomes-near-universal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media-and-learning.eu\/subject\/artificial-intelligence\/oecd-urges-systematic-policies-as-genai-use-in-universities-becomes-near-universal\/","title":{"rendered":"OECD urges systematic policies as GenAI use in universities becomes near-universal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OECD <\/a>has published a new report warning that generative AI use in higher education has outpaced institutional governance, and setting out five emerging policy responses to close the gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Policies supporting responsible and systematic GenAI adoption in higher education&#8221;<\/em>  finds that GenAI use among students has become near-universal in just three years, reaching 95% of UK undergraduates and around 90% of German students by 2025\/26, while academic staff have adopted it more cautiously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite this, the OECD finds most institutions still lack the infrastructure to support responsible use.
