inGenious – Teaching practices for engaging science lessons
inGenious, the European Coordinating Body in STEM Education, brings together teachers and industry to excite students about maths and science subjects. inGenious identifies and shares free teaching practices developed by industry, including industry visits, hands-on experiments, games and competitions.
You can learn about the educational activities industry has developed to help pupils understand the world of work and hear from teachers who are piloting industry education activities.
Educational Technology and Mobile Learning
Educational Technology and Mobile Learning is a blog providing users, students, teachers, leaders and managers of educational ICT with articles and tools to better integrate technology into education. Practical tools, ideas and tips come along with a selection of interesting readings on the subject, tutorials and guides. An entire section of this blog is also dedicated to articles covering reviews of free educational mobile apps that work on smart devices.
Jonatan Academy is a project for creating educational videos in Dutch for elementary schools.
The videos present on the website have been made by 11-year-old kids for younger students to learn the basics of Mathematics and Dutch language. The normal making process for these videos includes a script, the elaboration of visual material in Powerpoint and the publication on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/jonatanschool).
These videos are thought as integration or repetition to what students learn from the teacher, to help them memorise better the concepts explained.
The website also contains instructions and tools that can be useful for medium and high school students and for teachers as a guide to an interesting and useful activity.

Tiching is a free Spanish platform dedicated to education. It collects teaching resources and a social network has formed on top of this service. At present collected resources are more than 83000. The website is available in all official languages of Spain and in English. Tiching is aimed at the whole education community: teaching staff, students, families, publishers and anybody related in some way to the world of education.
Two search engines are provided. The internal one gives a number of options to refine researches, including language, skills, level of education, etc. The second search engine can be installed in external WordPress websites and blogs to perform searches in Tiching directly from there.
The social network has been designed for the education community and is formed by more than 25000 people collaborating from all over Spain.
There are many types of digital educational content in Tiching: activities tutorials, projects, teachers guides, etc. They are provided in many different formats such as video, text, image, interactive activity, etc.
Each content file contains:
• Basic information: title, description, image, tags, language, short URL, creator;
• Validation: it’s the internal validation process through which every resource passes when uploaded
• Thanks: it’s a feedback about the usefulness of a resource
IPR For Educational Environments
This is a free online course about Intellectual Property Rights for Educational Environments. It is primarily aimed at people in higher education designing online learning resources but is also appropriated for academics working in HE staff development. The course is divided into three units each comprising a number of sessions. Each element is designed to either be used independently or as a part of a complete learning experience.
The course addresses IPR in the UK but the materials can be adapted and re-used to represent IPR issues in non-UK countries. It is developed in the frame of the IPR4EE project, that was created to introduce and build awareness of aspects of intellectual property rights and copyright.

PerúEduca is the national educational portal of Peru. It is a learning environment providing educational resources and tools for educational use. It is structured as an interactive communication channel aimed at aiding both students and teachers in the teaching and learning processes by quickly responding to demands and needs of its users and by simplifying communication and interaction processes.
PerúEduca contains virtual courses for teachers which that are part of the ecosystem of virtual education provided by the Department of Educational Technology of Peru. The aim of these courses is to integrate and promote skills, knowledge and attitudes related to professional development. The portal also contains other types of material for teachers: articles, official texts, communities of practice.
With regard to the students, the portal offers resources as videos, games, e-labs, images databases, books, animations, audios, simulations, etc., as well as services as the calendar, careers guidance, etc.
Access to all the content on the website is free (although registration is needed). It is covered with a Creative Commons Licence.
Alberoventi is a social networking platform developed within an extensive communication research project with the aim of helping teachers and educators of all levels to use new educational resources and methodologies, taking particular advantage of the resources of the Web.
Alberoventi offers a variety of different experimentations and services through protected autonomous platforms where members can get into action individually or (mainly) in groups and interacting with the others in order to achieve goals, thus developing at the same time the tools to use and their own knowledge on the selected topic. These platforms are partially designed on the characteristics and necessities of each single group and the possibilities made available for each of them depend on the particular collaborative education methodology chosen or developed specifically for that group.
Alberoventi is currently in Beta version. Its present projects are aimed at the training of high school and university students and of teachers. At present among its activities there are collaborative writing, web tv productions and foreign languages teaching.
Alberoventi's activity also include a big effort to constitute a network of schools and teachers interested in the use of the new methods offered through the online platform.
MIL for Teachers
MIL (Media and Information Literacy) for Teachers is a website that gathers together the MIL Curriculum for Teachers and some teaching resources organised in media libraries.
The MIL Curriculum for Teachers is designed as a flexible and comprehensive framework that educators or curriculum developers may adapt to the local context of their countries. PRIMAS - PRomoting Inquiry in Mathematics And Science
PRIMAS is an international project within the Seventh Framework Program of the European Union aiming to promote inquiry-based learning in mathematics and science at both primary and secondary levels across Europe by supporting teachers to develop inquiry-based learning pedagogies so that, in turn, pupils gain first-hand experience of scientific inquiry.
To this purpose, the project also aims to develop various resources and make them available to teachers, parents and pupils. Some of these are: teaching materials, professional development courses for teachers, support for teachers, support for professional development facilitators, informational meetings for pupils and parents.
