On Teachers Media users can search and navigate the Teachers TV archive, stream all the 3500 Teachers TV videos at the highest quality, access and download documents and other resources linked to the videos.
The approach is based on developing reflective practitioners and encouraging professional development that is collaborative and focused upon real school practice. This approach is vital to sustainable improvement in teaching and learning.
The Teachers TV archive will always remain free to stream, however they will be charging for some services in the future, helping to cover operational costs. At present, Teachers TV videos are only AVAILABLE TO USERS IN THE UK.
Bednet links 6 to 18 year old children in Flanders who are suffering from long term and chronic diseases to their own classroom through the Internet. Bednet has created a child friendly environment where a long term ill child can resume his/her lessons in the classroom from home or from the hospital. This way, they can follow as many courses as possible during their absence and stay in touch with their teachers and class mates. Bednet is carrying out pioneers’ work in this field and is working on a structural solution for all children with long term diseases.
A Bednet set consists of 2 laptops (one with the child, one in the classroom), two webcams, two scanner-printers and a photo camera focusing on the blackboard. Whenever the teacher places a document onto the scanner in the classroom, the same document will be printed at the child’s home after a short time, and vice versa. The sounds and images from the webcam allow the child to follow the school’s lessons in real time. If he has a question or an answer to an asked question he can let the class know by giving them a sound or light signal. After school the system can be used to give out homework and tasks or to hand them in.
Poverty is not a game (PING) - a game about poverty
Poverty is not a game (PING) is an online game made for secondary schools, forming a starting point to discuss the subject ‘poverty’. The game is an adventure game and takes place in a three dimensional environment representing an average Western European city. It contains two different scenarios that demonstrate situational as well as generational poverty. The first one is about Jim, a boy who leaves his home after a row with his father and goes to live on his own in the big city. He has to find a roof over his head and a way to make a living; it is the player’s mission to resolve these problems so as to be able to lead a happy life as Jim. Sophia, on the other hand, comes from a poor family and lives alone with her grandmother. When her grandmother has to move to a home for the elderly, Sophia will need to find a place to live and a job, and a way to finish her studies.
PING shows that games can help to introduce complex social subjects like poverty in the classroom. It aims to make young people experience the mechanisms underlying poverty and hopes to do this in a way that is close to their daily lives. Furthermore, by presenting the game in a classroom, it can be used as an enjoyable stepping stone for further
on-topic exploration. Keeping in mind the fact that school courses have to abide by a specific time frame in which subject matter has to be presented, the game is designed in such a way that it can be finished in about 50 minutes.

Childnet International (http://www.childnet-int.org), winner of the MEDEA2009 overall award with its outstanding entry ‘Know IT all for Primary Schools” (http://www.media-and-learning.eu/resource/know-it-all-for-primary-schools), has also created a film about cyberbullying, entitled Let’s Fight It Together. It is a DVD for pupils, which highlights the seriousness of cyberbullying and how everyone has the ability to prevent it from occurring or responding to it if it does occur. For teachers there are also a freely available online Teachers' guide and a Cyberbullying lesson plan

KlasCement is a Belgian web2.0 organisation for teachers. More than 60,000 teachers, mostly from Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium, and partly from the Netherlands are sharing learning objects online such as presentations,

Bla Bla Bla e-democracy e minori
With Bla Bla Bla e-democracy e minori, created in 2009 by the Italian primary school Direzione Didattica di Cassola, students of the 5th year learned how to create a digital cartoon and learned about the cinematographic and audiovisual language by using videos and cartoons in the Apple multimedia laboratory. They acquired multimedia producition skills on their own by working in the multimedia laboratory. This experience involves all subjects and it helps each student to develop his/her own abilities and to express themselves in different ways.
In the lessons, students also learn how to create a digital cartoon at home, how to use the Internet to study, how to do research, and how to enjoy themselves. The students can then use their media literacy in everyday life, when watching TV or going to the cinema and instead of being passive observers they become an active audience.
This project received an award (in the category “Up to 10 years old”) by the Global Junior Challenge, an international competition organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to promote the innovative use of new technology for training, education, solidarity and international cooperation.

Con Bla Bla Bla e-democracy e minori, creato nel 2009 dall'architetto italiano scuola elementare Direzione Didattica di Cassola, gli studenti del 5° anno hanno imparato a creare un cartone animato digitale e a conoscere il linguaggio cinematografico e audiovisivo, utilizzando video e cartoni animati nel laboratorio multimediale di Apple. Hanno acquisito abilità di produzione multimediale per conto proprio, lavorando nel laboratorio multimediale. Questa esperienza coinvolge tutti i soggetti e aiuta ogni studente a sviluppare le proprie capacità e di esprimersi in modi diversi.
Nelle lezioni, gli studenti imparano anche come creare un cartone animato digitale a casa, come utilizzare Internet per studiare, come fare ricerca, e come divertirsi. Gli studenti possono utilizzare le loro conoscenze sui mezzi di comunicazione nella vita di tutti i giorni, quando si guarda la TV o si va al cinema e invece di essere osservatori passivi diventano un pubblico attivo.
Questo progetto ha ricevuto un premio (nella categoria "Fino a 10 anni") da parte del Global Junior Challenge, un concorso internazionale organizzato dalla Fondazione Mondo Digitale per promuovere l'uso innovativo delle nuove tecnologie per la formazione, l'educazione, la solidarietà e la cooperazione internazionale.
