Nordicom is a centre of Nordic media research at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. We monitor the field of research related to mediated communication and impart science-based knowledge to decision-makers, professional groups and citizens. We publish academic literature on media research. Our publications – from scientific journals and books to statistics, databases and news – are all open access and freely available. We strengthen cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between Nordic media researchers by organising the NordMedia conference every two years together with the Nordic media research associations. NordMedia Network (http://nordmedianetwork.org), a digital platform for the Nordic media research community, is home to our networking action. Nordicom is supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Swedish Ministry of Culture and the University of Gothenburg.
