Pädagogische Hochschule Oberösterreich (University of Education Upper-Austria) – eEducation Austria (National Centre of Competence)

Pädagogische Hochschule Oberösterreich” (University of Education Upper-Austria) is the second biggest teacher training institution in Austria. It educates future teachers in preschool, primary, vocational (including infortmatics for vocational colleges) and together with 11 other universities in the so called “Cluster Mitte” secondary teacher education. It has a special focus on “Inclusive Education” and hosts the Austrian National Centre of Competence for E-Education which is financing the M & L membership – eEducation Austria:

The centre’s main goal is to support the implementation of structures which allow digital competencies for all educational levels. As digital media is changing our world to an extent that last took place during the invention of printing. Up-to-date educational and working processes are not thinkable without using digital technologies – digital competencies are therefore essential to our whole society. Therefore the primary goal of the initiative eEducation Austria of the Federal Ministry of Education is to advance digital and ICT-based competencies throughout all schools in Austria – starting from Primary level to Upper Secondary. https/eeducation.at
