About this member

The Association for Teacher Education in Europe (ATEE) is a non-profit European organisation, whose aim is enhancing the quality of Teacher Education in Europe and supporting the professional development of teachers and teacher educators at all levels. The ATEE aims to enhance the quality of Teacher Education in Europe through active dialogue and international exchange of research and practice in initial and in-service teacher education. Its 300 individual members and 45 institutional members span nearly 50 countries around the world. They work both within and outside higher education. The Association brings its members together in 15 different Research and Development Communities, and at its three annual conferences organised by members.

Organisational member Norway

Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (Sikt)

Sikt was established on January 1, 2022, out of a merger between the Norwegian Centre for Research Data Ltd, Uninett Ltd, and Unit, the Directorate for ICT and Joint Services in Higher Education & Research. Sikt is a collaborative body that develops, purchases, and delivers products and services designed to enhance education and research experiences. Sikt offers a common infrastructure and joint services for the knowledge sector. Sikt is the NREN in Norway, and we run procurement processes for the Norwegian universities and research institutions in Norway. Among others we work with solutions for VMS, LMS, and Digital examen solutions.

University of Amsterdam

The Audiovisual Center (AVC) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is a centre of expertise on video in education. It produces video, such as educational videos, webinars, live streams and podcasts and provides policymakers, teachers and supporting staff with advice on the use of audiovisual media in education with a pedagogical, technical and organisational point of view.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)

NTNU is Norway’s largest university with over 40000 students in three cities and is represented in MLA by the Section for Teaching and Learning Support (SLS). SLS provides support for NTNU’s academic staff with both technical and didactic solutions to their teaching, which in turn will improve learning opportunities for the students. Media production and technical support represent a major part of the Section’s activities.
