The All Digital Summit 2026, held in Belgrade on 22–23 September under the theme Digital Wellbeing for a Competitive Europe, brought together organisations from across Europe and beyond to explore how Europe can remain competitive while ensuring that digital transformation serves people’s wellbeing.

Media & Learning joined the Summit with two Erasmus+ projects, HealthyMindEd and TaLAI, contributing to the discussions on digital wellbeing, responsible AI and the skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital society.

The Summit aligned with the EU’s ambition for at least 80% of adults to have basic digital skills by 2030, while highlighting a central message: competitiveness and digital wellbeing should not be seen as competing priorities. Both depend on people having the skills, confidence and trust to participate meaningfully in an increasingly digital society.

AI featured prominently throughout the programme, with discussions moving from principles and regulation towards practical implementation. Sessions examined the application of the AI Act, AI ethics, and how educators, researchers and smaller organisations can use AI responsibly in their everyday work.

The Summit also looked closely at digital wellbeing, including the impact of screens and technology on young people’s stress and wellbeing, digital health literacy, and the responsibility of organisations to practise the digital wellbeing they promote. Alongside this, sessions focused on practical approaches to developing digital skills, including DigComp and micro-credentials.

What emerged from the discussions was a view of digital transformation that goes beyond technology itself. Skills, trust and wellbeing are becoming just as important to Europe’s digital future as innovation, particularly as AI becomes increasingly embedded in everyday life.
