About this member

Public Open University Čakovec is a public adult education institution founded by the City of Čakovec and serving as a lifelong learning centre for Međimurje County. Since its establishment in 1960, the institution has continuously adapted its programmes to social change, labour-market needs and the evolving educational needs of adults. Today, it provides primary and secondary adult education, vocational training and upskilling, foreign language courses, pesticide-use training, and a wide range of non-formal learning opportunities. It cooperates closely with employers, public authorities, civil society organisations and international partners, while European and international cooperation plays an important role in its development. Its mission is to provide accessible, high-quality and innovative education that strengthens employability, personal development and social participation, with the aim of being a modern, inclusive and trusted centre of excellence in adult education and lifelong learning in northern Croatia.

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an international joint venture university founded by Xi’an Jiaotong University (China) and the University of Liverpool (UK). The University currently offers approximately 45 undergraduate and 53 postgraduate degree programmes across a wide range of disciplines, and all are taught in English. PhD opportunities are also available. Undergraduate students earn two degrees: an XJTLU degree from the Chinese Ministry of Education and a globally recognised degree from the University of Liverpool. Postgraduate students receive a University of Liverpool degree.

Lund University

The division for educational development (AHU), is an academic development unit commissioned to contribute to the development of education on all levels. We collaborate with the faculties and other educational development units within the university in offering courses on higher education pedagogy and supporting teachers. Research regarding development of higher education pedagogy is conducted at the unit. AHU also is specially commissioned to support the development of e-learning at the university and has responsibility for managing and supporting some systems for e-learning, including learning management systems, video platforms, and e-meeting tools. Drop-in online workshops held regularly help the university’s teaching staff with the use of these platforms and tools. AHU also houses a video studio for the filming, editing, and production of educational videos. Similar video studios are found at some other faculties at Lund university, too.
