The Media Education Conference (MEC) 2025 will take place from 3–5 November 2025 in Rovaniemi, Finland. Organised by the Media Education Hub at the University of Lapland, MEC 2025 will focus on the theme “AI in the Arctic,” exploring the role of artificial intelligence in northern and remote contexts. Keynote speakers include Professor Song Yanjie (The Education University of Hong Kong), Professor Marcelo Milrad (Linnaeus University, Sweden), and Professor Päivi Häkkinen (University of Jyväskylä, Finland). Abstracts can be submitted until 1 September 2025, with notifications sent by 15 September 2025. Early-bird registration closes on 22 September 2025. More information is available here.
