The Opencast Community is a network of academic institutions, individuals, and corporate organisations using and further developing the open source video management system Opencast. Opencast was created to solve the need identified with academic institutions to run an affordable, flexible and enterprise-ready video management systems, and has grown into a robust community of innovators worldwide.

Universität Osnabrück

virtUOS is an academic service provider for the entire university. Our services range from pedagogical consulting for lecturers, infrastructure services for digital teaching (LMS, lecture recording, video conferencing and more) to the management of student data. Additionally virtUOS is also a research and development department, where several software developers work on open-source educational software, and pedagogues research the effect of digital teaching projects.

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VUA)

VU Amsterdam is a unique university with faculties in the humanities, STEM, social sciences and medical sciences. Our education and research are closely linked. We combine our top position in research with a strong social orientation, which has resulted in an excellent international reputation. Our education and research are distinctly multidisciplinary. This is reinforced by the fact that our faculties are all located on one campus. Zuyd University

Zuyd University is an ambitious university of applied sciences in the south part of the Netherlands focusing on: education, research and training for professionals. To support these ambitions, the Education and Research Services Department has recently expanded with an expert team that advises and supports in the field of Blended Learning and Instructional Media. Part of this team are a group of video professionals that make these educational videos from script to final editing and assists faculty in making their own materials. In addition, they offer training in the didactic use of video.
