The Rotterdam University of Applies Sciences is a Dutch institute for Higher Education with about 4000 employees and around 40.000 students. RUAS offers associate degree-, bachelor-, and master programmes within the domains of applied sciences, built environment, art, social work, communication, economics, maritime, education, AD, and healthcare. Within RUAS the department OeO is responsible for the quality of education. The educational consultants, embedded librarians, policy makers, quality assurance etc. work with partners across the 10 institutions to ensure and improve quality of education.

Since its launch in 2012, MITx’s core mission is to expand access to quality educational opportunities worldwide with creation of open, online, massive courses (MOOCs). These high quality MITx MOOCs are drawn from MIT classes and built by MIT faculty and course teams with the support of MITx. The MITx Media team is responsible for the integration of multimedia into the design and development of MOOCs.

Zuyd University

Zuyd University is an ambitious university of applied sciences in the south part of the Netherlands focusing on: education, research and training for professionals. To support these ambitions, the Education and Research Services Department has recently expanded with an expert team that advises and supports in the field of Blended Learning and Instructional Media. Part of this team are a group of video professionals that make these educational videos from script to final editing and assists faculty in making their own materials. In addition, they offer training in the didactic use of video.

Our projects strengthen the human right to freedom of expression and unhindered access to information. We also receive funding from the Federal Foreign Office and the European Union and are active in more than 70 developing countries and emerging economies. We strengthen sustainable development through media We are journalists, consultants and experts in media and education. Together with our partners, we work to promote free expression, human rights and the development of functioning media systems worldwide. We believe that journalism, education and culture improve people’s lives. Powerful stories support positive social dialogue. People need reliable facts, independent analysis, unbiased presentation and universal access to knowledge. Our five strategic fields of action are: Media and Information Literacy, Media Viability, Media and Journalism Education, Innovation for Dialogue and Media Safety. We also address gender and inclusion, disinformation and AI as cross-cutting topics.
