The XR4All project team recently published a report on their analysis of the landscape of immersive interactive XR technologies which they carried out during summer and autumn 2019. This report provides a useful definition of the scope of eXtended Reality (XR) in the consortium’s terms, a detailed market analysis and collation of the most recent surveys and reports in this field. Key players are identified as well as relevant technologies along with the latest research findings and the current state-of-the-art. Several application areas are elaborated including training in the context of manufacturing and industry as well as learning applications in the medical field.
