On 22 October 2026, 14:00–17:00 CEST, our MLA team will be organising our first Deep Dive workshop, a hands-on, online session exploring what happens when AI agents are given a goal, tools and context, and start carrying out complete steps of your work, from formulating learning objectives to producing educational media and adapting the learning offer to each individual student.
The workshop is led by Serge de Beer, who develops agentic systems for schools, universities and media organisations and leads the Agentic Production programme for the Dutch broadcasting industry. Expect no slides full of promises — instead, live systems, honest failures, and a method you can apply directly to your own work.
Over the three hours, participants will:
- Understand agents — learn what makes a system “agentic” and how it differs from chatting with AI or classic automation, mapping the full Agentic Learning chain from objectives to a hyper-personalised student offer.
- See Agentic Production live — follow one learning objective through a working pipeline, from script and voice-over to a rough cut, with human checkpoints at the moments that matter.
- Design their own agentic workflow — in small breakout groups, take a process from their own practice and design an agentic version of it, with individual support from Serge.
The workshop is aimed at media and video teams, instructional designers, learning technologists and managers who want to look beyond the chat window. No programming experience is needed, just bring one process from your own practice that you would love to hand over to an agent.
Places are limited to 30 participants, so early registration is recommended. This workshop is free for MLA members.
