Associació Verificat is a Barcelona-based non-profit fact-checking platform dedicated to political and scientific fact-checking, and to education for the critical consumption of information. Verificat’s newsroom continuously monitors Catalan news, through methods grounded in fact-checking, investigative and transparency journalism, and data journalism. Verificat is highly active in media literacy and education and maintains an education program in which it works with school students, university students, and young people on basic verification techniques and to instill digital information responsibility.
