As part of Ofcom’s Making Sense of Media work, they plan to train 1,000 UK professionals working with children and young people by March 2024. As a result, they have launched a tender to find organisations who can help achieve this goal. There are two lots available and organisations may apply for one lot or both:
- Education and youth professionals
- Children’s health, social work and community professionals
Ofcom’s expectation is that organisations have relevant experience working with a relevant group of professionals e.g. teachers, youth workers, social workers, children’s counsellors etc and that applicants will have already developed a media literacy training course and be ready to begin delivery soon after contracting. The tender is open to organisations across Europe but the training must be delivered in the UK.
