EDMO’s second annual conference took place in Brussels on 13-14 June and included many highlights including its report on access to platform data for researchers and the draft code of conduct on how platforms share data with researchers as well as a fascinating keynote by Paul Verschure on the neural processes underlying our resiliance and susceptability to disinforation. It also included a panel on Media & Information Literacy chaired by Sally Reynolds from MLA. This packed panel included 8 well known researchers and practitioners from the MIL world. It provided lots of information about current practices and challenges and some initial insights into where efforts might best be placed going forward. For a full report, check out the EDMO website.
