The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute operates under the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth, with a mission to provide continuous training for teachers at all levels. The Institute offers in-service training through various compulsory programs and optional seminars, supports teachers’ professional learning at the school level, plans and executes educational research and evaluation studies, and follows and adapts to current trends in pedagogy.
Additionally, the Institute undertakes the writing and publication of teaching books, curriculum design, and the production of teaching materials. The Educational Technology Department within the Institute promotes the use of new technologies in education. It implements programs for continuing professional development in the field of digital education, conducts research, proposes new educational implementations, and produces materials for schools, including audio and audiovisual works.
