Filmpedagogerna Folkets Bio is a non-profit association. We hold lectures, professional development, in-service training and workshops in film, media- and information literacy.
Our main target group is the education sector: everything from preschool, primary school, upper secondary school and adult education, to universities, adult education organisations and libraries.
Since 2022 we have also we have run two large projects with senior citizens as the target group.
Some of our themes, all within Media- and information literacy, are AI, social media, news, advertising, propaganda, source criticism, story telling, laws and rules on the internet, film education and norms, attitudes and values.
Since 2010, we have been collaborating with UNESCO on issues related to media and information literacy (MIL). We are also part of the EU Commission’s Media Literacy Expert Group.
During 2025, we met approximately 10,000 people in approximately 400 audience and lecture contexts and nearly 800 films have been created in various workshops with 4000 students.
