Creation and modification of digital content for teaching (unfinished)

Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche offers an online course where educators can learn about digital media tools to enhance their teaching potential and improve the learning experience. As there is an increasing need for user-friendly and engaging content, it becomes essential to be skilled in digital content creation, including modifying, reworking, and combining existing resources with new ones. The online material covers ‘content curation and annotation methods’, outlines six phases of content creation, and provides examples of online platforms for various learning experiences—such as visualisation, presentations, interactive activities, video editing, and more.

The course also presents two creative tools for presentations and infographics: Genially and Canva, complete with introductory videos, and offers a detailed explanation of Open Educational Resources (OERs). With the help of this online classroom, educators can gain both technical and pedagogical tips, as well as guidance on the effective usage and management of digital copyrights ensuring that educators are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of intellectual property. By the end of the course, participants will be able to apply these tools effectively in the classroom and create content that enhances student engagement and aligns with educational best practices.
