This resource article by Carolien Kamphuis, Npuls, The Netherlands is a 6 minute read about the XR Framework, a tool which provides educational institutions with a way to manage the integration of XR by offering a structured approach to address strategic, technological, and operational challenges. The framework described in the article outlines seven key aspects—Vision & Policy, Support, Infrastructure, Finance & Contracts, Didactics & Content, Professional Development, and Responsible Use—and introduces a maturity model to help institutions gauge their progress and identify areas for improvement. It was developed by the Pilot Hub XR under the Dutch National Growth Fund programme which supports Dutch higher education in the sustainable and scalable implementation of eXtended Reality (XR) technologies.
