The recently published Video Viewer Trends Report from TechSmith highlights some really interesting findings that educational media producers might want to take into account. For example, 87% of people surveyed prefer a real person over an animated character or an AI avatar and nearly a third of respondents said videos over 20 minutes are too long. One of the main conclusions in this study which was carried out with almost 1000 participants in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, France, and Germany is that viewers want human-centered content that is engaging, easy to follow, and meets their needs.
