This year’s Open Education Week (OEW), entitled “A Global Celebration of Open Learning” brings together educators, learners, librarians, and open education advocates from around the world to share ideas, highlight best practices, and strengthen collaboration in open education. OEW is an annual, global initiative’ organised by EDEN DLE that celebrates openly licensed educational resources and practices that promote accessible, flexible, and equitable teaching and learning.
This year’s edition includes a diverse range of virtual events, discussions, and showcases designed to explore the impact of openness on education systems, from enhancing collaboration to removing barriers to learning. Participants will have the opportunity to join sessions on open educational practices, tools, and strategies that support innovation and community-driven learning.
Organisations worldwide are contributing to the celebrations by hosting webinars, workshops, and panels, reinforcing the importance of open education in creating inclusive and adaptable learning environments. Open Education Week continues to offer a platform for sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and inspiring action across education sectors globally.
