ReDMIL 2026 Doctoral Summer School, Call for Applications, 30 March 2026

The 5th edition of the ReDMIL Doctoral Summer School will take place on September 1–4, 2026, at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), Belgium. This international training program brings together researchers and PhD students in the fields of digital, media, and information literacy to foster dialogue, collaboration, and shared inquiry.

This year’s theme, “Literacies in the middle,” explores how literacies connect disciplines, social actors, and cultures, encouraging discussion across research communities and the development of new perspectives.

Featured Scholars

The summer school will feature five internationally renowned experts who will serve as speakers and mentors:

  • Michael Dezuanni, Queensland University of Technology (Australia)
  • Renee Hobbs, University of Rhode Island (USA)
  • Maarit Jaakkola, University of Gothenburg (Sweden)
  • Hyeon-Seon Jeong, Gyeongin National University of Education (South Korea)
  • Jad Melki, Lebanese American University (Lebanon)

Program Highlights

The program combines framing presentations by senior researchers with in-depth discussion of emerging PhD research, providing participants with the opportunity to:
