JISC in the UK recently published their Digital experience insights survey 2018 – findings from Australian and New Zealand university students. The authors used the same methodology as for the UK survey and the report highlights interesting distinctions between students in each of the countries. Video proves itself to be as popular as ever with students in Australia and New Zealand, but the report has less good news for other digital tools with students saying they are significantly more likely than UK based students to agree that the use of digital technologies has a negative impact on their studies, especially on their distraction and attendance, even though this is still a minority view.
