The annual Serious Play Conference is open to chief learning officers, training directors from companies, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, the military and government who come to the conference to get a good understanding of how to evaluate games and simulations for their needs and integrate them successfully. The top game designers from the various markets share their knowledge about the value and use of different technologies, measurement and assessment strategies. In other tracks, attendees learn how game mechanics are being used in K12, creating greater student engagement and retention. Faculty from universities with serious games programs learn how their peers are collaborating to expand the use of game technology for learning across the various schools in their campuses as well as strategies for turning out graduates who have the skills to have successful careers in serious game design.
