EDMO launches fact checked disinformation list on War in Ukraine

LET’S FIGHT DISINFORMATION ABOUT UKRAINE

The European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO), in which the Media & Learning Association is represented on the advisory board, has published a list of fact-checking articles about the situation in Ukraine.

At the beginning of the year, the spread of false news about Ukraine detected in the EU was low and not particularly alarming. However, since the military action against Ukraine began on Thursday 24 February, fact-checkers are witnessing a substantial change in the situation and are finding that disinformation about the situation is now at a dangerous scale. In recent days, European fact-checkers have focused their efforts on detecting and tackling disinformation concerning the situation in Ukraine.

Here is the list – which will be periodically updated – of fact-checked articles that EDMO’s fact-checking network have published during the crisis.
