The main focus of the Media Coach Europe project is the improvement of media literacy levels among young people through the training of 500 media literate coaches working in schools, youth centres and in non-formal contexts like libraries and museums. The approach the partners take is based on the use of a recognised and successfully proven practice already implemented: The Dutch national media coach program. Partner countries include Cyprus, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Bulgaria and the project’s most recent newsletter reports on activities to train coaches in Bulgaria, Portugal, Greece. Check out the project website for more information.
