The inaugural iLRN State of XR & Immersive Learning Outlook Report gathered over 100 expert educators, education leaders, researchers, technologists, and others in a Delphi-inspired environmental scanning and forecasting study of current and emerging trends, as well as important innovations on the use of XR and immersive technologies for supporting learning. This Expert Panel’s open, asynchronous discussions and deliberations across diverse learning sectors and contexts contributed perspectives over the course of four months serving as the springboard for the production of this report. The Outlook Report showcases a synthesis of the findings of this study in relation to the most important needs and opportunities, barriers to adoption, and catalyzing technologies and developments germane to XR and immersive learning.
