The Media & Learning Association is delighted to announce that we have 2 new organisational members this month. The first of these is Universität Osnabrück in Germany, represented by the Center for Digital Teaching, Information Management and Higher Education Didactics (virtUOS) which offers centralised e-Learning services for the university. The focus of virtUOS is not only to provide consultancy around digital teaching but also to develop open source tools and to enable teachers to use state of the art e-Learning techniques.
Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands is represented by the dept of Educational Student Affairs. This department believes that video has a vital role to play in today’s and tomorrow’s education. Besides being able to inspire students in a way that can be difficult for any other medium, video has the power to solve difficult problems that teachers face every day. Also, it empowers teachers to elevate their teaching by showing subjects or situations that would otherwise be impossible to show.
