It was getting more difficult to find a cost effective “manual” camera app for use on iOS devices. In the past Filmic grew to be the first choice for ambitious video makers, but the price of the app took a steep increase. In comes ProMovie. This camera app is impressive: it has all the manual controls you want to have under your fingers: aspect ratio, resolution (4K, 3K, 1440p, 1080p, 720p), frame rate (up to 120 fps), picture quality (in bandwidth), exposure, shutter speed, sensitivity (in ISO), color temperature. Of course there is manual as well as automatic focus and iris as well as (digital) zoom. The video exports to the photos folder and therefore can be exported easily. The free version has a watermark, the paid version is worth the small price. (iOS only at https://promovieapp.com/)
