Media & Learning 2013: Equipping Learners for Open, Creative Learning Futures took place on 12-13 December 2013 in Brussels. It pointed to the responsibility that all of us share to explore new and innovative ways in which to make learning more relevant, more ubiquitous and more open. The role of media in this process is increasingly significant not only as a means in which to engage learners more effectively in the learning process but also as a way to connect to what is happening in students’ own lives and to equip them to be active and fulfilled citizens in our increasingly mediatized society.
