This module aims to provide higher education professionals with a comprehensive understanding of multimedia learning, its principles, and its effectiveness in the educational context. This module is for anyone looking for insights into multimedia learning principles, good practices, examples and hands-on handouts.

After this lesson, you will:
• understand what media and multimedia entails;
• be aware as to how different elements and aspects of educational (multi)media interact to create several forms of educational (multi)media;
• be able to advise whether and how multimedia would add value for a specific learning context & objective;
• be able to consider the role of media formats within educational (multi)media;
• be able to align your (multi)media product with your learning objective(s).
