MLA member City, University of London, have launched their new Augmented and Virtual reality Learning Centre led by an interdisciplinary group of professionals working in Immersive Design (AR/VR/MR/Spatial Computing). This centre is a brand-new Office for Students (OfS) funded facility providing staff, students, and external partners access to cutting edge technology for the creation of immersive experiences including augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality etc. Consisting of a multi-functional space for workshop style teaching, networking and design activities that can be transformed into a 13m x 8m motion capture studio. This is complemented by access to a dedicated user-testing facility fully equipped for the evaluation of immersive experiences. Check it out.
