Faktabaari Launches AI Guide for Teachers to Support AI Literacy in Education

In January Faktabaari launched its AI Guide for Teachers at the Helsinki NORDIS DIL Forum. The guide aims to equip educators, learners, and education providers with essential knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI), its capabilities, limitations, ethical considerations, and its role in education and society.

A complete English translation will be available by March 13, followed by a Swedish version. This initiative builds on Faktabaari’s Digital Information Literacy guide, published within NORDIS in 2022.

The AI Guide for Teachers is designed to clarify key educational perspectives on AI, addressing:

  • What AI is and how it functions (AI as a subject for learning).
  • How AI can be responsibly integrated into teaching (AI as a tool for educators).
  • AI’s broader societal impact, including its influence on the job market, knowledge management, and communication.
  • Why a critical approach to AI outputs is necessary, considering its challenges and potential misuse.

With AI rapidly evolving, educators often struggle to keep up with its implications for teaching and learning. This guide seeks to provide clear, accessible insights and references to help teachers navigate AI’s role in education effectively.

As AI reshapes the future of work and learning, education systems must adapt. The Faktabaari AI Guide offers a timely resource to support AI literacy and responsible AI integration in schools.
