LSE has recently published A Student Manifesto for Assessment in the Age of AI, a joint initiative by the LSE Students’ Union and the LSE Eden Centre for Education Enhancement for the 2024/2025 academic year. The manifesto is the result of extensive dialogue and collaboration among a diverse group of students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and general course programmes, representing a range of disciplines. It sets out ten principles and a series of calls to action aimed at guiding the responsible integration of Generative AI (GenAI) into teaching and assessment. The document emphasises the importance of maintaining academic integrity, critical thinking, and meaningful skills development, while also recognising GenAI’s potential to support inclusive and innovative learning environments.
