W.W.Norton has published a book by Renee Hobbs, a founder of the Harrington School of Communication and Media at the University of Rhode Island and world-renowned authority on digital and media literacy education. Her book Mind Over Media: Propaganda Education for a Digital Age highlights the importance of acquiring skills to distinguish truth from fake news and identifying propaganda at early age. The book discusses how educators can use the issue of disinformation to stimulate students’ interest in developing media literacy and also provides example learning activities.
