The second meeting of the EU Experts group on tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy through education and training took place on 25 November. Much of this meeting was devoted to discussions to help reach a form of consensus on topics including the nature of disinformation and key dimensions of digital literacy. Participants also worked together to provide input on the needs and contexts that are relevant from a teacher/educator perspective and what might be the best approach to take when equipping teachers with the resources and skills they need. The planned outputs of this group which is an integral part of Action 7 of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) are on schedule and a draft version of the first report is due in January when work on the planned guidelines will begin in earnest.
