The EU’s Expert group on Tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy through education and training met face to face for the first time in Brussels on 6 July when they presented the outputs of their work to Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Commissioner Gabriel’s enthusiatic response to the group’s main findings in their report as well as the guidelines for teachers was very encouraging as she reinforced the importance of supporting teachers in this way. The guidelines will be officially published by the Commissioner on 11 October during an online event.
