KU Leuven has been active in the field of artificial intelligence for about 30 years already. Leuven.AI, KU Leuven’s Institute for AI, was officially launched this year on 2 March. The institute aims to unite AI experts and offers expertise on all aspects of AI, including its possibilities, limitations, and its implications from an ethical, legal and societal perspective. The launch of the institute has resulted in multiple new activities and more interdisciplinary research on AI at KU Leuven.
