During this event Ofcom shared and discussed their new approach to online media literacy, as set out in the December publication, and invited participants to give feedback. Over 140 people joined the virtual event. As a result, five priority areas were defined that will underpin Ofcom’s new approach to online Media Literacy: initiate, engage, establish, evaluate and research. Attendees were then invited to discuss a particular theme in groups. This was followed by a discussion to share their most compelling thoughts. The event ended with an outline of Ofcom’s next steps. Full summary of the event is available here.
