Chris Jaffe introduces Youtube’s new 15-second video feature as “a new short-form video experience for creators and artists who want to shoot short, catchy videos using nothing but their mobile phones.” on Youtube’s blog. This TikTok rival is coming to the U.S. in March after its beta version, available in India since September, 2020 became a hit, according to the Business Insider. Considering the growing interest in this platform amongst teens and rising privacy concerns, no one can say that it’s an unexpected move from the tech giant. No announcements of this feature becoming available in Europe have been made yet.
