The Tell Your Story project was designed to explore the use of digital storytelling and storymapping in education in order to help counter early school leaving. The project partners argue that Storytelling can be used as a didactical approach in education. Its main strengths lie in its appeal, variety and accessibility. Stories are also engaging and easy to remember. Storytelling helps to share experiences, explain events and phenomena and transfer knowledge.
Recently the project has been organising dissemination events in partner countries and has also published a guide entitled preventing early drop-out through digital stories and maps which includes guidelines for teachers, educators, youth workers: on how Story Maps can be used in the classroom. This publication is free and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Slovenian, downloadable online.
